Application & Selection Process

Online Application

  • The application for Chief Minister Fellowship can only be made online.
  • Ensure that you have read all the relevant information about the program before you apply.
  • Keep scanned images of your passport size photograph and signature ready before you start.Click here
  • Once you click on button ‘Apply Online’, you will be redirected to IBPS’s application portal.
  • Fill the application form completely with correct details.
  • Application fee Rs. 500 is to be paid online.
  • Application will be treated successful only on the payment of application fee.
  • Soft copy of the application form will be automatically generated after successful submission of the application form. Applicants are required to save it for future.
  • Application is reviewed and eligible candidates are informed about the online examination by email.

Online Examination

  • Eligible applicants are informed about the date of online exam, timings, exam centre, etc. by email.
  • Read the instructions received by email carefully before the exam. Carry required documents without fail.
  • Follow all the instructions and rules carefully.
  • The online examination will consist of multiple choice objective type questions.
  • The medium of language is English.
  • It will be a 100 marks exam divided in 2 sections.
  • Duration of the exam is 60 minutes.


General Knowledge

This section will carry 50 marks and will have questions on general knowledge, economics, current affairs and social issues concerning India and especially Maharashtra.

Essays

Top 200 scorers in online examination will be shortlisted for further selection process. The list will be posted on the portal. Shortlisted candidates will also be informed by email about further selection process. The shortlisted candidates will be required to submit 3 essays during given period of time. The candidates not submitting the essays will not be eligible for final round of selection i.e. interview. Plagiarism detection tool will be used for scrutiny of the essays.

Interviews

  • Top 200 scorers in online examination will be invited for an interview. Date, time and venue of the interview will be communicated through email.
  • However if the candidate fails to submit the essay during given time period, he/she will not be interviewed and will not be selected.
  • The candidate invited for interview should bring along with him/her one photocopy each and the original copies of all mark sheets and other credentials along with the original copy of the proof of identity.
  • No travel expenses made for attending the interview will be reimbursed.

Final Selection:

  • Final selection will be made from the shortlisted candidates. Online examination, essays and interviews will carry weightage of 15, 30 and 50 marks respectively.
  • Relevant PG / professional degree or diploma will carry weightage of 5 marks.
  • Candidates scoring top 50 marks will be informed about their selection and joining procedures by email.
  • List of selected candidates will be displayed on the portal.
  • A waiting list comprising of next 10 top scorers will also be displayed.
  • In case of vacancies created due to non-acceptance of offer letter by selected candidates in stipulated time, the candidates from waiting list may be invited to accept the offer.

The selection will be made strictly on merit. The candidates for whom any recommendation is received from any source and in any form will be dropped at the level of final selection.
