Placement- UN Action Room to Reduce Poverty

The Chief Minister Fellowship Program offers a unique opportunity to work with the Government of Maharashtra. My placement was with the UN Action Room to Reduce Poverty – a Joint initiative of Planning Department, Government of Maharashtra and UN India office. My focus area was localization of SDGs in Maharashtra and creation of livelihood opportunities in 27 blocks having low human development index. I had the opportunity to contribute in policy drafting and its execution on the field. I also worked and liaised with international organizations, NGOs and various government bodies like MAVIM, MSRLM, BRTC, etc. This program acted as a catalyst for my professional growth and learning.
